Nine ARMBA received a five point Likert scale survey for their adult parishioners to complete. The survey included three sections: demographics, discovery, and an evaluation of the study. Thirty-three individuals completed the survey. The overall results were favorable. The specific focus of this project is to identify ten essentials that will provide information and guidelines that could help women move through the process. During the Fall of 2003, students at Central Bible College voluntarily participated in a course on women in ministry. Students (one male and seven females) were surveyed at the beginning and the end of the course. Students demonstrated a significant increase in their understanding of the biblical basis for women in ministry. A directed journal (workbook) applied a feminist hermeneutic to the Hagar narrative, and was completed by twenty-four midlife women in ministry. Accessing disciplines of the arts, personal narrative development, and spiritual formation practices, participants interacted with themes of identity, paradox. direction, God image, voice, grief, fear, movement, and community.
