The project surveys both the academic disciplines of Black liberation theology and educational theory as well as their implications for Christian educational ministries within the Black church. It also gathers by questionnaire data from 20 youth who participated in two seminars concerning Black history and self-esteem. Participants took part in two three-hour learning sessions focused on congregational governance, strategic planning, and conflict prevention and resolution.  They also received a resource manual and experienced structured devotional exercises.  Participants reported an enhanced sense of preparedness for service following the learning experience. A questionnaire was disseminated and the results indicate that spiritual vitality is considered essential to doing the job of a Christian Navy Medicine chaplain.  The overwhelming majority of participants also indicated that practicing time management and self-care are extremely important. Data was collected by researching biblical, historical, theological, and secular literature on discipleship and mentorship. A quantitative and a qualitative study showed a definite correlation exists between perceived effectiveness of the curriculum and the students' perceptions of their teachers' performances. It focuses on COGIC pks who share thier stories. Findings reveal that home life is foremost in relation to impact on identity formation. Three pk types were established, in response to growing up under the authority of a preacher/parent. Recommendations were made to increase positive impacts and reduce negative impacts on identity formation. The method employed in this project was a question and answer format that revolved around seven ontological questions. The results of the impact study indicated a spiritual transformation took place among the participants. Change also took place in the area of knowledge.
