In response to this problem the researcher conducted an in-depth qualitative study of self-measurement tools in which he compared these tools to a biblical gauge for self-measurement.  He then led ten undergraduate students through a semester-long discipleship program that centered on the tests that he deemed most appropriate. In response, the researcher drew insights from the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20) highlighting the importance of discipleship as an intentional pursuit instead of an accidental venture.  The literature review dealt with current and relevant issues within the Naga society.  A mixed methods approach along with grounded theory was the research path.  The research revealed that discipleship, although deemed important was not happening in most churches. An estimated 1,000 English-language congregations are serving transient people all over the world. It is imperative the international church approach disciple making with its transient nature in mind.   This study investigated the nature of effective disciple making in transient communities. Four concepts were identified. Transient churches must cultivate a disciple-making ethos. Transient churches need to maintain a transient community consciousness. Intentional movement in disciple making is absolutely critical to effectiveness. In order to understand these obstacles the researcher did a theological review of the values of Jesus' Kingdom and a literature review of the values of suburban middle-class culture. Of particular interest to the researcher is the significant amount of time and money that people invest in sports. The author reviews biblical passages and other literature related to worship to support the proposition. He uses a case study of corporate worship gatherings at three churches in the Northwestern United States. Site visits, interviews and surveys suggest how God-centered corporate worship motivates people to grow as followers of Jesus Christ. The thesis identifies elements that consistently serve the biblical functions of worship.
