There were three main steps in reaching this goal: the exegesis of biblical principles to find the model of Jesus' incarnational ministry, the exegesis of the Thai Buddhist context, and the development of a Thai contextualized model for building an effective ministry. The findings from field studies supported the library research about the belief system of the Thai Buddhist students and their value orientations. Three racial models were researched: dominant-cultured, multicultural and the culturally-contextualized model. Two surveys were conducted: a nation student survey and a campus ministry survey. Biblical, sociological and survey research supported the thesis that a Black culturally-contextualized model is most effective which affirming that all three models are biblically acceptable. Two major factors that increased Black involvement were Black leadership and intentionally to be culturally relevant.
