The researcher used three data streams -- scriptural, contemporary and case studies -- to determine possible causes for homophobia in the AAC in the DMV. The data revealed that leaders acting on what they have been taught frame their ministry paradigms in ministering to LGBT people. These influences are deeply embedded into the culture of the AAC and the psyche of the AA pastor. The researcher conducted a biblical review of female prophets from the Bible, in particular, from the Old Testament. Grounded in positive psychology, four developmental areas framed the inquiry into the leadership development process, each representing an area of identity work. A close-ended survey and open-ended interview protocol were used. The adaptational model of ministry operates in the tension between the church, world, and kingdom cultures. The model proposed that ministry activities iterate through four steps: continual feedback, communal reflection, specific action, and effective adjustment. In response to this, researcher surveyed the wicked activities of demons in the lives and ministries of some biblical leaders and followers in the Old and New Testament. The researcher further reviewed the relevant literature. But, in spite of western academia's skepticism, researcher established that these demons incarnate, change forms and appear face-to-face to humans in multiple manifestations.
