The study focused on an eight-session course based upon the Lord's Prayer. The sessions, which were experiential in nature, were designed to enable participants to examine and share the nature of their prayer lives, and to explore ways in which they might expand their understanding of the grace of prayer. In addition, participants were asked to read and respond to Leonard Boff's The Lord's Prayer: The Prayer of Integral Liberation, which is an interpretation of the Lord's Prayer from a liberation theology perspective. A third component of the project was a series of sermons on the petitions of the prayer. The evaluation document of this project indicates that it did enable participants to broaden their understanding of and response to the relationship between inward spiritual development and participation in systemic and social changes."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Candler School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["1e360310-aec8-4e88-a19a-00b4db71ef4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791134852937940992,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:41:46.467Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T00:04:46Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:42:43Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"69ec321c-63a8-4e07-bb2f-dc98b55ec815","accessControl_ssim":["042bb98f-260b-4f54-8643-1452ca1f9016"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Assessing the faith development of a congregation as an aid to a program of church renewal"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T00:04:46Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:13:52Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["c9f4bb15-5da6-4cad-83e8-defd9c011bc1"],"hasLease_ssim":["4cfc597f-c4d6-4800-9747-ec6294d0ace7"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Candler School of Theology"],"year_tesim":["1988"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["William Hughes Pollok"],"keyword_tesim":["Tests and measurements in religion"],"publisher_tesim":["Candler School of Theology of Emory University"],"subject_tesim":["Faith development","Fowler, James W"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The study assesses the faith development of active and inactive members in a 500 member suburban congregation. Evaluations indicate an increased integration into the community, a decreased sense of loss, increased community hope, increased marital hope and more productive methods of managing marital stress."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Candler School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["1e360310-aec8-4e88-a19a-00b4db71ef4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791134784368410624,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:40:41.074Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:41:52Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:41:24Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"43fb8bb4-d637-4838-babf-2bc539c1f35f","accessControl_ssim":["51be5017-0d35-4ef6-91f3-298b1fff3c9a"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Teaching some basic Wesleyan doctrines through the use of Charles Wesley's hymns"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:41:51Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T00:06:19Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["889afa1e-5196-455c-87d8-6db396f1e40f"],"hasLease_ssim":["095c04bf-2f6c-4014-8fb8-d6fb7073417b"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Candler School of Theology"],"year_tesim":["1988"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Leon E Thompson"],"publisher_tesim":["Candler School of Theology of Emory University"],"subject_tesim":["Hymns","Wesley, John, 1703-1791","Wesley, Charles, 1707-1788","Theology","Christian education","Methodist Church--Doctrines"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project assumes that theology can be taught through the use of hymns. It includes a critical, historical analysis of supervision within the Pentecostal context. The author concludes that ministry supervision is undergirded by three confessional elements which legitimate Pentecostal ministry. The three confessional elements which serve as an interpretive framework for the educational design of Pentecostal supervision are 1) supervision as covenant; 2) supervision as character; and 3) supervision as commission. An educational design for training field supervisors finally must be focused, refined, interpreted and, at times, limited by the way this particular Pentecostal group views its purpose and mission within the broader church."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Candler School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["1e360310-aec8-4e88-a19a-00b4db71ef4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791134860499222528,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:41:53.677Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:41:52Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:45:45Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"f09df194-9eb8-4c19-b742-e5716138cc07","accessControl_ssim":["9dda9eb3-c822-412a-b055-f71f18936316"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Pastoral care in a hermeneutical/narrative style"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:41:51Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T05:00:03Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["77fbe5b2-81b4-4dbe-a383-8054517b35a6"],"hasLease_ssim":["47d2aa40-bda5-445b-bd24-1e6c6f302b93"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Candler School of Theology"],"year_tesim":["1988"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Henry D Watson"],"publisher_tesim":["Candler School of Theology of Emory University"],"subject_tesim":["Capps, Donald","Winquist, Charles E, 1944-2002","Thurneysen, Eduard, 1888-1974","Case method","Rogers, Carl R (Carl Ransom), 1902-1987","Gerkin, Charles V","Pastoral theology"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The project is a description, comparison, and contrast of three methods of pastoral care.
