Personal participation in missions has been missing in many traditional South Carolina Baptist churches. There is a need to shift to a new paradigm of doing missions.  A growing number of South Carolina Baptist churches have implemented a partnership strategy--resulting in greater involvement among the congregation.  The methodology used in this field research was a case study involving six churches.  These churches had little missions involvement until adopting the partnership strategy. It advocates the use of a cell group church-planting model as best suited to the Turkish culture.  The project is very focused, addressing important biblical and missiological issues in the Turkish context, and briefly explaining the Turk's history, society, culture, and religion.  The suggested church-planting model takes a very practical approach, giving precise goals, projected time tables, and specific guidelines for each step. However, an even greater miracle has been God's raising up and preservation of the evangelical churches of Romania. The focus of this thesis will be historical, examining records of the events in the foundation of the church, as well as political events in recent times.
