In this paper, the author addresses the question, 'How does reframing volunteer to disciple impact and revitalize the teaching ministry of the church?' The project seeks to investigate a healthy understanding of membership and explore how the church might faithfully engage new members of the church in a discipleship model of church life. The research was conducted with a participatory action research process by a group of representative members and non-members in a particular church. The project introduced the participants to the Sayings and the positive leadership the Sayings give to Christian spirituality. For the modern church, this trend in contemporary scholarship offers resources to profoundly impact a pluralistic world. This project focuses on the use of skilled efforts and varying strategies employed by church officers of Compassionate Christian Ministries, a new church, to encourage growth in membership, deepening commitment, spiritual maturity and discipleship.  An action research program was designed for officers of the church.  The program incorporated theoretical aspects as well as practical examples.
