An estimated 3-4 million American women are beaten each year by their husbands or partners. Based upon a qualitative research design over a period of two years with victims of abuse and survivors, I've concluded that sometimes the church has remained silent concerning domestic violence. The aim of this project is to present a model for pastors seeking to engage their congregations in a ministry dealing with abused women. The qualitative proactive research method will be used in this project."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Columbia Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["b5eba5c2-141b-4673-9689-2f9720736859"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791129012999815168,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:08:57.068Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T05:31:54Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:05:05Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"8a6672d6-839c-4118-a215-4a7ab03b753a","accessControl_ssim":["2bc8aaf1-3c79-43f6-b416-62e1f15bc784"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The use of spiritual exercises for ministering to victims of abuse as informed by Jungian psychology and liberation theology"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T05:31:52Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:11:42Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["2442a904-7e0e-4947-b764-2537ec96dd42"],"hasLease_ssim":["d194d2d2-08ab-464e-8077-c50201cd32dc"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Columbia Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["John Patton"],"year_tesim":["1997"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Virginia Ovesen Felder"],"publisher_tesim":["Columbia Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Liberation theology","Spiritual direction","Symbolism","Jung, C.
