This pilot study (n=4) explored the effectiveness of its curriculum on spiritual growth, vocational discernment, and the use of spiritual practices. The curriculum included book studies, mission outreach, and the spiritual practices of prayer, Scripture reading, silence, and shared work like the Taizé community. Quantitative and qualitative data was collected at baseline, mid-point, and endpoint. It integrates valuable data from related literature reviewed in relation to Millennials and their characteristics, theories on human and faith development, and the stages of faith formation. The research also identifies the contributing factors to the phenomenon of faith. Additionally, the research shares the responses and opinions of Millennials on their faith journey and how faith acts as a social good in decision-making. This project tested the process of intentionally utilizing spiritual practices such as prayer, scripture reading, journaling and group reflection as a part of short term mission trips to strengthen spiritual growth among participants. Participatory Action Research was the primary research method employed for the development of a reflection guide and follow-up interviews with volunteers in mission. This project focuses on families in a particular congregation, and upon the noticeable impact of intentional Sabbath practices within their homes. The Participatory Action Research model of qualitative research is utilized in the development of this project. After surveying his context, the author facilitated a series of presentations on Sabbath. Following an extended period of time for participants to engage Sabbath practices, further data is collected. The before and after data are contrasted. This project focuses on the use of skilled efforts and varying strategies employed by church officers of Compassionate Christian Ministries, a new church, to encourage growth in membership, deepening commitment, spiritual maturity and discipleship.  An action research program was designed for officers of the church.  The program incorporated theoretical aspects as well as practical examples. This project is an interpretive case-study that examines that experience, and explores how the leadership of this pilgrimage facilitated spiritual growth. The 'lived metaphor' of pilgrimage gives people courage to live through the liminal ambiguity of transitions in their own lives.
