The author used the qualitative research method for this research. An analysis of the interviews with eight Korean pastors who led adaptive change concluded that Korean cultural traits did influence how congregations reacted to adaptive challenges and as a result, affected how pastors led the change. Postmodern authors have noted a significant change in Western culture, affecting world view and specifically denying the existence of an over-arching explanation of reality known as metanarrative. This study employed a qualitative research design interviewing twelve Teaching Elders of the PCA. The findings revealed a strong commitment to the Reformed value that scripture alone is sufficient as a source for the content of sermons.
