The selected churches are categorized as 'missional' because of their ability to effectively organize and mobilize their congregations to live as incarnate Christians in their communities and around the world. The selected churches demonstrate multifaceted ways for engaging a generation with a postmodern worldview in a post-Christendom milieu. This was a qualitative examination of churches from the West Coast to the East Coast.
