This has led to a large void in leadership within churches and ministries as well as a disconnection between the local church and seminaries. The project consisted of the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of the course and of a yoked mentoring program. The mentoring program was designed to complement the knowledge acquisition gained from the course by developing relevant character traits and ministry skills. It demonstrated a need for training and increased quality of performance in Christian education in Latin America.  Responding to an apparent lack of training, it evaluated and determined curriculum needs for a Master of Arts in Christian Education (MA/CE) degree at CATS.  Needs assessment instruments were used to determine key needs.  These evaluated current practice and identified ways to improve performance effectiveness.
