The desire to do this research comes from the biblical mandate given by the Lord Jesus Christ to make disciples (Matt 28:19-20). Developing God's people into leaders who demonstrate Christ-like character is not only the greatest need in the world today, but also in today's church; therefore, developing competent spiritual leadership through discipleship must be its top priority. The following questions are answered: What can churches do to prepare men and women to develop into godly leaders? What can Waukegan Community Church do to become a disciple-making reproducing church? Will Discipleship for leadership make a significant contribution in helping Waukegan Community Church become a disciple-making, leader-developing church? They also wrote open-ended responses to seven evaluation questions. The quantitative analysis confirmed the thesis. It develops on the assumption that Discipleship for leadership provides the biblical basis for developing disciples who go on to become disciple-makers. Although time restraint makes it impossible to measure the effectiveness of this study in developing disciples who go on to become disciple-makers, this evaluation measures an individual's growth in conviction, intentionality, and resolve for making disciples. The expectation was that exposure to alternatives to Darwinist explanations of origin in high school would result in religious practice in college and that there would be a negative correlation between a student's attitude toward Darwinism as an explanation and church attendance. An online survey of thirty-two questions was conducted on one-hundred seventy-five respondents. Time, space, and money utilization was analyzed against attendance. Research showed that the church closely reflects neighborhood demographics. Most ministry occurs Sunday mornings. Adults receive sixty percent of resources. Through a resident school and community center, the church serves at-risk children and youth. The teen-agers in its own outreach program receive five times the per capita resources spent on its elementary-aged children. The report recommends that more resources be directed to children.
