God's goodness can become blurred and muted by parenting difficulties and limitations. The problem studied was the effect a four-month group intervention with parents, focused upon the Triune God's goodness and gratitude rhythms, had on reducing parenting stress. Quantitative results of the four month group intervention were statistically significant and supported by the qualitative results. Those who practiced the gratitude rhythms expressed reduced parenting stress (12.6%) and pulse pressure (9.8%). Due to broken trust in the relationship, many married couples are unable or unwilling to fully utilize even skills they already have to strengthen their marriage. If broken marital trust was fully repaired, not only would marital trust levels rise, but so would commitment and forgiveness. Through pretest, posttest, and follow-up tests during a small group intervention study, the researcher determined that trust was increased in the majority of couples. It outlines a model for spiritual formation centered on being conformed to the image of Christ. Theoretical support ties spirituality to marital satisfaction, and subjectification to love for God and others. Measures include the DAS, SWBS, and qualitative questionnaires. A twelve-week study of 189 couples from Park Community Church in Chicago, Illinois, comparing three groups: a self-directed group, consisting of 63 couples who did Couple Checkup on their own; a discussion group, consisting of 63 couples who did Couple Checkup and discussed with a small group; and a control group that did not do Couple Checkup. Paired t-tests were performed, comparing pretest to posttest ratings on the ENRICH COUPLE scale. Evaluating the effectiveness of the curriculum couples completed the Dyadic Adjustment scale, the Confidence Scale, the Relationship Scale, and the Marital Satisfaction Inventory, Revised. The project's ten-week seminar includes didactic sessions, individual assignments, and group dialogue.  Evaluation instruments include formal pre-test/post-test questionnaires and informal pre- and post-seminar interviews.
