It was hypothesized that helping them see the difference between their beliefs and their behaviors in relation to their roles as men would develop a cognitive dissonance that would lead to a change in their behaviors. Five spiritual disciplines were identified in the lives of David and his mighty men and Jesus and his disciples and incorporated into the Cavetime Training Program (CTP). Christian men are not immune from the pressure of their own sexuality and in a highly sexualized world they need discipleship to restore and fortify their moral and spiritual integrity. The thesis explores the nature and treatment of sexual addiction and documents the creation of a ten-session program designed to assist adult men understand their own sexuality and learn to achieve self control. Biblically and sociologically, the male role is distinguished from the female role.  That distinction involves primary leadership responsibility.  In this project it was proposed to develop a Christian male's self-identity by developing his leadership potential through increasing his awareness of leadership responsibility, improving essential biblical qualities of leadership, and advancing understanding of leadership style or personality.  A group of twelve male subjects were led in twelve group and three individual sessions.
