The six-session program (including a twelve-chapter story, reflection questions, and group discussion) was based on biblical theology of mission and work as well as core concepts in the Business as Mission movement. Fifteen marketplace leaders participated in the three-month program. participants. Participants were pretested and posttested using both quantitative and qualitative measurements. Three passages from Paul's writings (Eph. 1:4-10; 4:1-16; and 1 Corinthians 12) were researched as they relate to cross-cultural partnerships characterized by grace, including Paul's views of community, use of gifts, use of power, and grace.  The theoretical issues researched focused on Geert Hofstede's dimensions of individualism, power distance, and uncertainty avoidance. Methods: The author conducted a case study of the International Christian Fellowship of Caracas and a survey of forty-two other expatriate ministries in order to evaluate the missionary potential of international churches. Included is a theological and theoretical search for a model of expatriate ministry that can be used in outreach to indigenous peoples that leads to the planting of a national church. Research identifies regional planning deficiencies among northeast Brazilian evangelicals. Training compensates by emphasizing group decision-making and problem-solving models oriented to church planting and leadership needs, especially dedicated to Vacation Missionary Projects (Promifé).  Research follows biblical-theological lines, using narrative passages of both testaments.  Theoretical investigation includes leadership, management, planning, education, church planting, training through coaching and small group dynamics.  Qualitative growth is observed among students.
