The goal of the project was to demonstrate a model of followup which would provide believers with nurture and support.  Two towns were targeted for a structured followup program in which new converts were discipled by a trained worker.  The towns indicated enough potential for improvement to warrant employment of a full-time followup worker. The multi-faceted approach included: the design and use of a semantic differential test (before and after) to determine the shifts in attitude; the cognitive goals of sermons, books, and discussions; the first-hand exposure to WCCC and a successful Maryland application; and the official vote of the congregation to shift to this model of ministry.  MCC was not sufficiently dissatisfied with the status quo to motivate them to make the large-scale changes necessary to adapt this model. The hypothesis was that there would be no difference between postsermon test results following traditional sermons and test results following sermons divided into four parts.  The author presented six sermons in each format.  Following the worship services randomly selected persons completed a 20-question multiple-choice test to determine content retention.  T-tests of grand mean scores for tests following each format revealed no significant difference in levels of comprehension. A five-stage missionary preparation progrm was developed for local churches including 62 hours of training. The author first conducts a biblical and theoretical study of the discipling of non-literate believers in an African setting. He then conducted a survey of 314 Zairian young people as a first step toward preparing cassette istructional material. This material was used for five months by cassette monitors and then evaluated. To meet this need, a one-year, certificate level, ministry-oriented, low cost, schedule-sensitive, Filipino-lead church leadership training program was developed for lay leaders of provincial churches.  The certificate of church planting ministries program was based on a detailed philosophy and rationale for reaching the masses.  The eighteen-step curriculum design plan incuded a task analysis to determine goals and objectives and a survey of leaders to determine what topics were essential for the target students. Seven different categories are examined from a theological perspective to review the appropriateness of the Crusade.  The ability involves the mobilizing of churches in a Crusade context for this year-long project.  A computer-assisted analysis of an evaluation completed by a select core-group was used to examine this project.
