Working pedagogically from the premise that sermonizing is more adequately taught by means of a specific form, the guidelines of deductive preaching have been applied to Craddock's indirect method. The reason for such a procedure is to provide students whose background is in deductive preaching a form by which they can initiate the process of constructing indirect sermons. The author carried out the project in the worship of Downtown Christian Church during the Sundays of Advent creating a liturgical form of worship related to advent themes, using also banners, paraments, and a preacher's robe.
