Three examples of successful adoptions were studied in a multiple case study design. The researcher's thesis was that by studying past church adoptions we can begin to understand, describe, and possibly even quantify a process that will lead to more successful adoptions in the future. Results describe optimal conditions and best practices, as well as a framework based on John Kotter's Eight Steps for Leading Change. Although the basic ethos of the Korean people is exulted spirit, they cannot experience this in such worship.  To overcome this problem, a lively worship model, based on research on the theology and history of Christian worship, and on relevant aspects of Korean culture, was developed and utilized for three months in the Masan Bahn-seok Methodist Church.
