This project predicts that by studying the scriptures and the liturgy for Holy Communion church members will develop a theology of table defined as an understanding of Holy Communion that arises out of a profound vision of who Jesus is, his sacrifice for humanity and his commandment to come to the table in remembrance of him. These liturgies, for use in Sunday worship, are not a funeral or wedding as such, but attend to the emotional and spiritual issues inherent in those transitions.  A brief liturgy of support for grieving families was also developed.
