It was based on the theological affirmations that true preaching extends the work of the Incarnation; that worship provides experiences including: providence, faith, grace, repentance, communion, vocation, and an awareness of the holy; and that the thrust of all pastoral work, including preaching, is the communication of the love and acceptance of God. Ten people met for an hour each Sunday, discussed the sermon and reviewed the Scripture for the next week. A feedback form was given to the congregation each week. The results were more effective communication, better constructed sermons, and more effective integration of preaching and pastoral care. The project provided learnings within the categories of expectancy, thought processes, sensitivity, preferences, ideas, concerns and values."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["fc8e637d-6b92-421f-936e-4844dc981265"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791135028245168128,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:44:33.653Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T22:18:37Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:43:30Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"cb560b65-8a96-4aa7-8595-c8150dbc03dc","accessControl_ssim":["9b352dd7-5f82-42da-9b62-13f7dcd4fbdb"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Middle age daughter - elderly mother: intergenerational individuation in a Christian perspective"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T22:18:36Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T03:58:46Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["bf422558-2d49-4c4b-8601-4448958e42fc"],"hasLease_ssim":["0c769e4f-ef57-42f3-8a42-0a195ef55d32"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Emma J Justes"],"year_tesim":["1984"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Marjorie Frances Kolb"],"publisher_tesim":["Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Aging parents","Parent and child--Religious aspects--Christianity","Mothers","Middle-aged persons","Individuation (Psychology)"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This study of the relationship of the middle age woman to her mother incorporates the basic theory of separation-individuation along with various concepts from the Old Testament, New Testament and other authored works related to the commandment, 'Honor your father and your mother'.
