The knowledge of the church's needs, theological foundations and theoretical presuppositions all pointed to the needs that the project addressed.  The participants showed an increased awareness of needs and knowledge gained and, as a result, have come across ministry situations that have been better handled as a result of this project. The project became an instrument of planned programming to prepare participants to minister more effectively and knowledgeably. The project also served as a useful resource for the demographics of the church field. The writer trained select members of Trinity Baptist Church of Tracy to develop a marketing strategy using basic marketing principles. The writer developed an entry-level manual to educate lay persons in basic marketing theory; these lay persons comprised the marketing task force. Task force training occurred to develop and implement a simple marketing strategy.  The writer led the task force in marketing research, the writing of objectives and goals, and the formal writing of a marketing strategy. The task force implemented the plan over a six-month period. The director of the project prepared the training material which presented evangelism as a process rather than as a point of decision.  Following an eight-hour training clinic, fifteen pastors and church leaders returned to their congregations to conduct a six-week training program.  This training involved discovering circles of influence, intercession, repairing broken or unhealthy relationships, counseling, and keeping a daily journal of witnessing contacts and intercessory prayer requests.  A pre- and a post-training survey as well as weekly reports from participants were used to measure the increase in the number of witnessing contacts and the development of new relationships. Churches need to be a part of the solution.  Most churches are not aware of how to help, nor of the influence they can have in their community.  The project describes the development of a rotating church shelter in the community. From the initial planning to the evaluation of the effect on the community, this report describes the impact the church had regarding homelessness.  The success of this project resulted in the interaction between churches across denominational lines. Theologically supported, the model used education, communication, and social psychology disciplines. Classes, discussions, and social activities over five months formed the model. Caucasian church members, ethnic adherents, and unchurched ethnics of the local community participated.  It was effective for increasing ethnic growth in the church. Increased cultural knowledge and understanding motivated Caucas to ethnic outreach. The project was designed to: encourage both partners to see decision-making on the basis of competency and shared agreement rather than on gender; see the financial management of the family as a shared responsibility; and build the couple's communication skills in order to enhance an equal companionship relationship. Based on the understanding that both male and female share equal dignity and value before God, the project was conducted with the presupposition that Nigerian Christian husbands can break through tradition to live happily as equal companions with their wives.  To accomplish the project objective, ten selected Nigerian marriage partners participated as an 'experimental group' in a marriage enrichment program.
