American culture has made it difficult for people to keep Sabbath, and the discipline required to stand up against the culture has greatly diminished. The author included biblical study, theological research, work with a small group undertaking the challenge of keeping Sabbath together, and a plan for further teaching for a specific congregation on keeping Sabbath. As a resource for an intentional, specialized approach to missionary preparation, a survey of relevant literature, a review of key socio-religious moments in the development of Pentecostalism in Russia, and an examination of theological concerns of the Orthodox context guides the reader toward a clearer understanding of Russian Pentecostals. The author distills principles from his qualitative interviews with seventeen evangelists and church planters focusing on French youth. French examples of church models frame the findings.
