The end product of this project is a manual that can be used by seminary students, by pastors wishing to enhance their preaching proficiency, and by teachers of homiletics who want to teach the skills needed to prepare relevant miracle stories sermons, especially in Chinese-Indonesian context. The second section of this thesis-project addresses the theological framework of miracle stories of the gospels. The third section addresses the literature reviews. The fourth section of the thesis-project is the manual itself, which addresses the practical concerns of how to prepare and deliver miracle stories of the gospels sermons. The manual found in section four is based on the principles of expository preaching developed by Haddon W. Robinson in his book Biblical preaching. Studies show that many believers consider themselves to be stalled in their spiritual growth and that they often view prayer as a duty rather than a delight. The purpose of this thesis-project is to explore the question of whether or not prayer that is based in an intimate relationship with God, using Scripture as its foundation, can make a significant impact on the spiritual growth of Christians. To this end, thirty-eight individuals participated in a six-week study using lectio divina in their personal prayer time. Of these, 95 percent reported some degree of spiritual growth. The students listening are the future leaders of America and other countries of the world. This thesis project develops a 'preaching workshop' for the new college ministers to give them confidence and skills to preach biblically on campus. Chapter two and three are the literature review and the biblical and theological background for the basis for preaching biblically to the university. Chapter four is a summary of the preaching workshop for new college ministers. Chapter five is the review of the workshop and suggestions for future improvements. The area of discipleship used to test this means of teaching was evangelism.  Each online class session included video teaching and follow-up questions that were answered in an online forum. The outcome of the study was determined by comparing the results of each participant's pre-test and post-test. The research described the inherent hazards of working within this ministry. A quantitative survey was sent to every officer serving in the Southern Territory to understand their felt needs. The results also demonstrated that officers were hesitant to reach out to the administration because of fear of negative consequences.
