It argues that Christian community is not the effect of faith in God, but is the manifestation of that faith.  The author makes the case for a relational faith.  Theology rather than psychology or sociology is the basis for understanding congregational life.  A planning group assessed the needs of this congregation.  A set of proposals was generated.  They included retreats, meals, a photo directory, etc.  A questionnaire was used for evaluation.
