'From the garden to the crib' portrayed some significant events of salvation history from Adam and Eve to the nativity.  A questionnaire was administered before and after the pageant to the cast, a sampling of the audience and a religious education class of eighth graders. The findings of this study are based on library research, listening and 20 years of the researcher's pastoral experience.  The study concludes that marriage is a this-world human institution planned by God (Gen 2:18, Matt 22:30).  It was planned for alleviation of loneliness, a fulfilling sexual intercourse, procreation, economic support and mutual responsibility for God's creation. Although monogamy is portrayed as the ideal, polygamy is validated as marriage.
