It is especially suited for evangelism committees and adult classes. It attempts to present an approach to the practice of evangelism which is consistent with our theology and character as Moravians. “Yes, we need to do evangelism, but not ‘that’ kind of evangelism….” This is a sentiment a number of members have expressed. We know that we need to share our faith, but as Moravians we are not comfortable with tents, tracts, and television. Using historical research, the author discovered the 'gentle persuasion' concept of Moravian evangelism from the eighteenth century.  The author reported his findings in an evangelism guide for congregations called 'The Moravian Way of Evangelism.'  The guide was field-tested in ten congregations.
