The author of this project researched the various reasons why these young families are or are not involved in the life of a congregation. By interviewing them directly, compiling the information, and looking for patterns, he then offers advice for church leaders. Using H. Richard Niebuhr's Christ and Culture as a guide, he created his own paradigm 'Culture and Christ' by inversing the patterns and starting with Culture. The author developed recommendations for denominational presence and support; a brochure for departing pastors with emphasis on facets of healthy leave-taking; a brochure for church councils emphasizing common reactions to pastoral transition.  The lament tradition is explored and serves as the basis of a prayer guide for members who experience deep sorrow, anger, or even delight at the prospect of new pastoral leadership. Because human beings are created in the Image of God (the first Creator), and are therefore creative beings, perhaps it is in offering our creativity before God that we might have a fuller awareness of God's presence within worship.  Participants attended educational sessions, workshops, and shared their original creations in worship.  Post-project survey data confirm the positive outcomes of the worship project. Therefore, Weinhold created a 'Healthy Boundaries' curriculum including a participant's manual for churches. Utilizing an evaluative research design, a one day workshop was offered to 12 lay persons and pastors. The workshop progressed from personal to pastoral to legal boundaries. Data analysis employed the spiral steps of qualitative research authored by Leedy and Ormord (2005).
