It defines consumerism and worship, reports survey results from 134 laity and 18 clergy, and includes reflection on pastoral role and method in leading worship that is theocentric, corporate, and contextual. The study tests out the assumption that lay ministry is already being carried on in daily work/life by the laity, and that the characteristics of this ministry can be uncovered by means of an interview process.  36 Interviews constitute the primary data of the study.
