Much of this results from an imbalance in ministerial style.  The traditional style of ministry has an excessive analytical, logical approach.  What is needed is a balancing of this approach with an intuitive, relational, in-depth type of awareness.  Ministry which involves a balanced awareness has many implications. Application can take place in sermon preparation, worship experiences, pastoral care, and organnizational planning. Meditative experiences are especially congruent for encouraging a balance. The author used the three guidelines of Drucker's Management by Objective as the process whereby the center was planned, implemented, and evaluated. Ninety-six persons received professional counseling by a certified pastoral counselor.  A survey of presenting problems of the counselees indicates that a majority of issues centered around difficulties in marriage, family relationships, and personal struggles such as feelings of inferiority and depression. It challenges assumptions and establishes a theological and psychological rationale for church loyalty, setting forth a detailed, systematic definition which delineates three degrees of church loyalty, identified as eros (self-gratification), philia (approval of community), and agape (sacrificial) types of loyalty, and sharply distinguishing the absence of loyalty from disloyalty which is viewed as destructive and unresponsive. It was applied to narratives collected from three groups discussing dreams and two groups discussing religious concerns at two nursing homes. It proved to be consistently useful in opening both dreams and biblical narratives to discussion and interpretation. A research questionnaire was devised and administered to 97 male alcoholics and/or drug addicts. This project focused on eight areas: general background, early childhood, chemical usage, heterosexuality, masturbation, homosexuality, sexual difficulties, and general questions.  The study demonstrates that adult males who are alcoholics and drug addicts have significant sexual dysfunction both when using chemicals and also during periods of sobriety.
