The objective of the project is to propose that the most effective approach in the theological education of Korean pastors (or English as a second language) is one using current programs in the context of the language and culture as part of the mission strategy in the metropolitan New York area.  The project leader used the pretest and posttest to identify the needs and provide action plans for the needs.  The emphasis here is to provide training using the current programs offered and not to create new programs. Research involved the reading of books, writing the resource manual, preparation of student testing and evaluation forms, seminar testing of the manual, evaluation of results by the project director, a guidance committee and an outside observer. This involved a four-week teaching seminar of approximately eight hours of study. For seminar evaluation a pretest, posttest method was used.  The format of the pretest followed the Likert Response method and was intended to measure opinions, understanding, and attitudes of the seminar participants.  The format of the posttest followed the Concept Evaluation method and some general questions of evaluation in the Likert Response method.  The pretest results generally revealed very little knowledge or understanding of important Baptist heritage issues. By 'educate' the author means informing people by examining both the theological and political perspectives of those in the Southern Baptist Convention who are identified as 'fundamentalist-conservatives' and 'moderate-conservatives.' By means of this informational process, the author sought to present a balanced overview of the controversy which would enable the participants to draw their own conclusions of the subject.
