The project produces a clear definition of authentic, biblical manhood and lays a foundation for a successful ministry to men. Through research, biblical competencies of ministry to men are identified, a strategic plan to initiate men's ministry is developed, and a men's ministry leadership retreat is planned and implemented with a select group of men. By utilizing the research and considering the unique culture of Perdido Bay Baptist Church, a curriculum is developed for the weekend men's leadership retreat. Research from an annotated bibliography provided the resource for development of curriculum. The project director presented the curriculum in six training sessions during a Friday through Saturday weekend retreat. Three phases were incorporated into the project: research, development, and implementation. The research phase consisted of investigating various community ministry strategy methods. The developmental phase consisted of using the research findings to develop material for the project retreat that the student planned for group training.
