The project director identified that many incarcerated individuals have a limited knowledge about managing personal conflict. Therefore, the project director prepared a five-session study that could be facilitated in a correctional ministry setting. In preparation for this study, the project director researched the field of personal conflict resolution. The project director recruited church members to review materials, evaluate results, and consider the advice of assimilation experts. The proposed assimilation strategy was influenced by models designed by other church leaders. The project director designed this project utilizing the equipping model. The project began with research in the field of servant leadership, particularly focusing on servant leadership competencies as they apply in the local church context. Then, the project director identified particular competencies critical to servant leadership. The competencies and theories of servant leadership, as well as the biblical foundation of leadership as applied within the local church, were then taught to the selected men. The instruction included seven sessions that utilized a variety of teaching methods to equip the men in servant leadership competencies. The church and youth group have seen significant growth over the last decade ministering to hundreds of students in Bentonville and the surrounding area. First Baptist's desire was to develop a comprehensive six-year church camp strategy that would be sustainable and effective in reaching and growing teenagers for Christ. The doctoral project was divided into three major sections. The first section explored the field of existing youth camp and youth ministry strategies as well as specific research of First Baptist Church, Bentonville, Arkansas. The second section developed the strategy of a church camp ministry with  the help of the strategy team from First Baptist Church. Second, the project director researched three intercultural churches in metro Atlanta, where SIF meets. Along with an analysis of area demographics, the director presented these findings to a selected group of church leaders for approval.
