The project director researched a wide range of sources to gain a foundational understanding of bivocational pastoral ministry in the Morgan Baptist Association in Morgan County, Alabama. The project director used the material discovered through the research to develop a manual that may be used by churches in their search for and selection of a bivocational pastor. Based on the research, the project director developed four one-hour sessions. A total of nine men participated in the four training sessions. The four sessions involved cultivating the most important relationship, understanding the importance of leadership in the family, working on becoming a servant leader in the marriage, and modeling Christian fatherhood to children. A working outline of the project goals included the following: to research the field of literature concerning men in family leadership skills, to develop training sessions so the selected men could become effective spiritual leaders in family leadership skills, and to equip the men in effective family leadership skills. Session 1 required two hours, and sessions 2 through 5 met for ninety minutes. Upon completion of the research, the project director designed and implemented training to equip the selected students to use personal evangelism skills in conjunction with outdoor recreation. The director created the training curriculum used in a seven-session workshop with a selected group of adults who volunteered to serve as mentors at the request of student mentees. The curriculum for the workshop was developed with the guidance of professionals in the area of curriculum and instructional design. The effectiveness of the workshop was evaluated by multiple means including a pre-test, post-test, and a telephone questionnaire following the
