The project director enlisted mentor couples and led them through six hours of mentor training regarding biblical principles of mentoring and marriage, conflict and resolution, stedardship, strengthening relationships, improving communications, and parenting together. The information gained from researching both fields was used to develop appropriate strategic planning curriculum. Twenty-four learners attended the equipping sessions. The church council members represented varying degrees of past exposure to strategic planning. The project director developed eight Sunday school best practices from a survey for the '2012 Georgia's Fastest Growing Sunday Schools.'  The project director developed the survey results into a training curriculum and enlisted and trained a group of adult Sunday school leaders in a workshop held over four weeks.
