This was accomplished by the means of an eight-week relational evangelism training program designed to enhance the behavioral skills and the attitudinal assumptions of the participants.  A pretest/posttest instrument was used to generate data.  The historical method, experimental survey method, and the descriptive survey method were used in evaluation. The project consisted of training for a telephone committee which would make appointments for visitation and visitation teams which would make the visits and report back to the church.  A unique element of the project was the inclusion of communication skills in the training adapted from secular sales strategies.  Procedures and forms were developed which aided in the structure of the visitation program.  Descriptive survey methodologies were used in the evaluation of the project. Factors impacting assimilation were determined.  A ministry was designed.  A group of sponsors was enlisted and trained.  A test of the ministry was conducted.  Evaluation of the ministry was performed by means of descriptive survey methodology, simple statistical analysis, and critical pastoral reflection.  New members who had been sponsored showed a statistically significant increase (p = less than .1) in assimilation for three of the seven indicators tested. To identify and define parenting principles, the descriptive and historical methods of research were used. Selected parents participated in an eight-week training seminar.  Experimental and descriptive methodology was the basis of pretest/posttest evaluation of a control and experimental group.  Statistical analysis indicated the experimental group demonstrated significant levels of change after the training.  The participants continued in a seven-week seminar to design a program for applying the parenting principles. Eight major retirement adjustment needs were identified and defined through the use of personal observation, research, and questionnaires.  The design of the program focused on the eight major retirement adjustment needs.  Surveys and a pretest-posttest indicated that the fourteen senior adults who participated in an eight-week training program showed an increased knowledge of these problems.
