The author designed and implemented a program to meet that purpose using both the historical method and the statistical oriented method as it related to the ordinal level of measurement, to research the project. A program was implemented that motivated new members to be involved in regular Bible study, exercising spiritual gifts, support of church finances, and personal witnessing.  Four cyclical classes, each addressing one of the areas noted and operating autonomously, were developed to provide the new member with immediate access to the assimilation process. A curriculum was designed that consisted of eleven discipleship training sessions.  These discipleship training sessions took place weekly.  To determine the effectiveness of the program, the experimental research method was used. The program caused the participants to analyze their attitudes toward congregational worship and its importance to their lives. The program included training lessons to equip a prayer group and activities to involve the church.  The historical method was used to gather data on the theology of prayer.  The descriptive survey method was used to gather data on prayer ministries and prayer for missions.  The director gave pretests and posttests to evaluate changes in the group's attitudes and changes in the church's behavior. The research conducted for the project concentrated on the theological, historical, and practical rationales. Training lessons taught by the author helped the participant understand his giftedness. A spiritual gifts inventory showed each participant his gift or gifts.  A ministry-action plan allowed the participant to exercise his gift in the ministry program of the New Sarepta Baptist Church. The developed training curriculum included the following methods: didactic seminars, personal interviews, group discussions, and group-led worship services.  The teaching curriculum included the following topics: the history of Baptist worship; the influence of historical eras, sociological groups, personal interests, personality type, and communication skills upon worship style. Historical, descriptive, and experimental research methodologies were used with the selected group. The author used a method of research that incorporated an experimental and a control group.  Eleven teaching sessions, a pretest, and a posttest were used to accomplish this goal.  The results of the pretest and posttest showed an increase in knowledge and a positive change in participation and attitude in the experimental group.  Thus, the thesis was proven to be
