The booklet was tested over a five-month period ending with a threefold evaluation.  The project calls for leaders to model Christ for the mentorees.  The report discusses mentoring as exemplified in scripture, and summarizes the difficulties, benefits and lessons learned from the project.  It concludes that mentoring can be done in Cameroon if pastors are appropriately equipped and encouraged. The pastors were organized (by region) into groups of four to six men.  In each of five consecutive months, they read an assigned book (a different book each month) and then met to discuss it.  Their reading and discussion provided continuing education.  Their being together provided an opportunity for fellowship.  The project report outlines the minister's continuing education and fellowship needs as suggested from Scripture and ministry-related materials.  The format of the project is then explored and analyzed. Church attendance growth patterns are compared with Sunday School attendance figures for 1975 through 1979.  The nine Sunday Schools are compared to 'Thirteen Criteria for Growth,' compiled by the writer from Sunday Schools throughout the United States demonstrating numerical growth in the seventies.  Month-long Sunday School emphasis in October 1978 and October 1979 are carefully described, the results of the emphases are compared, and projections for numerical growth for the next decade are made.
