Pastors are the most important variable; other significant factors include laypersons, fidelity, morale, locale, ethnicity, cultural conflicts, and personal conflicts. Many Korean-American churches suffer due to the divisions caused by the generation gap and cultural barriers between the Korean and English-speaking congregations.  The Joy Korean-American Church created a model of 'blended worship' in order to overcome the disharmony and distrust, and to reconcile the differences of the two congregations. The topic is presented with the help of biblical, theological and historical sources.  The theological method of the Wesleyan Quadrilateral is used with the understanding that Tradition, Experience and Reason are subservient to the primary source of Scripture.
