The assumption that underlies the project is that if teachers can experience intersection between personal story, personal experience, the biblical story, and faith community experience, to tell one will be to tell the other. As a result, the Bible will become biographical, which makes it easier to communicate. Teaching then will be discernibly different in the church education experience. The project was a six-week teacher education experience for mid-high teachers that utilized denominational materials as the primary resource. The findings supported the primary assumptions: teaching was conducted in a different manner and mid-high pupils experienced a renewed enthusiasm for Bible study."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["9d359def-dc0f-4ac7-a978-8df771bc0984"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127248009428992,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:40:53.842Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T00:02:47Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:37:09Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"863b91ad-a4ba-48c9-9fdc-c613e57d3de0","accessControl_ssim":["27af4d9a-c876-41f9-8284-6faffea8c97d"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The requirements for a pastoral counseling center to continue developmental maturation according to Lippitt and Schmidt's stages"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T00:02:47Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:05:12Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["b5c6d6cb-7a91-4a1b-ab40-2571fc87f5ed"],"hasLease_ssim":["044f68e7-a879-48d4-b95e-f35401ab6848"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"advisor_tesim":["Stanley J Menking"],"year_tesim":["1988"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Wiley D Harwell"],"publisher_tesim":["Perkins School of Theology Southern Methodist University"],"subject_tesim":["Organizational change","Lippitt, Gordon L","Pastoral counseling"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project determines the requirements of a pastoral counseling center to continue developmental maturation. Lectio divina in its classic medieval, monastic form consisted of reading, meditation, prayer, and contemplation of the Scriptures. This classic approach, with the additional elements of journal keeping, the use of the Jesus Prayer, and the Jungian concept of 'active imagination' was taught to a group of six lay Episcopalians over a six-week period. Written responses from the participants show that this method yields practical results in a deepened prayer life, appreciation of Scripture, and a feeling of closeness to God."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["9d359def-dc0f-4ac7-a978-8df771bc0984"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791126967916953600,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:36:26.725Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:14:39Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:38:49Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"a4559d26-e07c-4af5-82e8-28c7416c110b","accessControl_ssim":["9c771de8-41ec-4584-8dff-51775d786813"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["New meaning in worship through a shared group process of worship education and worship design"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:14:38Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:54:32Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["d8b771f9-132a-49e9-ab17-796d884a7b43"],"hasLease_ssim":["98b7751d-aaac-430d-b9ab-2ec0c59fc60f"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"advisor_tesim":["Elizabeth Box Price"],"year_tesim":["1986"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Kip E Wright"],"publisher_tesim":["Perkins School of Theology Southern Methodist University"],"subject_tesim":["Worship","Oklahoma City University (Oklahoma City, Okla)","Church work with students","Christian education"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The project addresses the problem of whether or not worship education and worship design practiced through a shared group planning process can bring new meaning to worship.
