An experimental group was exposed to six one-hour alcohol education sessions over as many weeks. A control group in a comparable nearby church received no education. Utilizing identical anonymous pretests and posttests for both groups, it was determined a significant change did take place in the attitudes of the experimental group, but not in the control group. The project concluded that alcohol education can have a significant immediate effect on individuals' attitudes on the subject."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["9d359def-dc0f-4ac7-a978-8df771bc0984"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127240654716928,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:40:46.828Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T02:04:32Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T03:11:37Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"924a69b4-35eb-4333-895a-0134c1016d6a","accessControl_ssim":["18152df4-426e-4159-807b-83f65358619e"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["New wine in new wineskins: a theology for post-moderns"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T02:04:31Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:25:02Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["74992f26-822c-417f-9769-66ea39e8a250"],"hasLease_ssim":["46da6e11-af0c-4219-b2fd-cf8e3ab093cc"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"advisor_tesim":["Edwin Edward Sylvest"],"year_tesim":["1991"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["John H Brand"],"publisher_tesim":["Perkins School of Theology Southern Methodist University"],"subject_tesim":["Religion and science"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project develops a manual serving as a discussion tool for the examination of Christian doctrines in view of scientific principles involved in quantum physics and the brain's evolutionary development. The aim of this project was threefold: to identify the problem of inactivity within the membership; to develop biblical/theological thought on inactivity; and to employ a pilot program to start the reassimilation process.
