Southern Cheyenne and Arapaho beliefs and customs concerning death and burial are studied through interviews with Cheyenne and Arapaho religious leaders and relevant written materials.  Two sample Southern Cheyenne and Arapaho funerals described in the paper contain Christian and traditional Cheyenne and Arapaho religious elements. These funeral services are critiqued by practitioners of Christianity and traditional Cheyenne and Arapaho religions. Through two non-threatening questionnaires Eastridge Baptist Church evaluated its Sunday morning worship service.  The study benefited the congregation by revealing needed adjustments to details of its worship practice and by serving as a vehicle for the congregation and its new pastor to become better and more rapidly acquainted. Homiletical literature was studied and three methodologies were chosen as the basis for six sermons on texts from Romans.  The sermons were evaluated by a committee of lay people. This project examined six stories of the Bible, exegetically with the intent of preaching the stories narratively.  The practicum was conducted over a six week period evaluated by seven laypersons. The theological rationale is based on the three-dimensional definition of koinonia by Joseph Henry Thayer.  The theoretical section provides a definition of koinonia and establishes criteria for the formation of koinonia groups. In the theoretical section, the nature of narrative as a means of social and personal change is described.  An extensive theoretical chapter examines narrative from a theological, biblical, and sociological point of view.  Another chapter describes how the action phase of the project unfolded.  It includes brief description of the sermons, as well as the process by which the evaluative instruments were determined.  The overall conclusion of the project is that these particular narrative sermons were not as effective in conveying faith-learning, particularly Christology, as a more traditional, mixed style of preaching. This project analyzes and explores the use of Thomas Groome's shared Christian praxis as an approach to teach an introductory church history course. Church history as faith story can formulate Christian self-understanding (Malaysian Christian self-understanding). An introductory church history course syllabus based on shared praxis was designed and taught.
