The theological implications of marriage as covenant are explored in order to give a solid rationale for expanding and intensifying the pastor's work with engaged couples. The report outlines how the 'Myers-Briggs Personality Type Inventory' has been helpful in promoting understanding between couples and how this basic tool can be incorporated into the process of pre-marital counseling. The model is a synthesis of Christian theological and dynamic interpersonal psychological perspectives.  Called 'Covenant Partnership,' the model is shaped by the values of love, justice and mutuality.  The model was used in two seminars for couples over a ten-week period.
