The project was to develop a pedagogy of the prosperous. The pedagogy was developed within a framework of sociological analysis, theological reflection, ecclesiological imagination, and pastoral concern.  The result was a year-long, praxis-based, liberation-focused curriculum for congregations situated in a culture of materialism. The lack of systems support and tools for assisting these families both in and out of the church was met by adapting the Twelve-steps of Alcoholics Anonymous to the blending-family.  Eight couples spent nine two-hour sessions creating and working the Twelve-steps for the blending-family. Electronic media create a fundamental shift from a 'propositional' to a 'narrative' paradigm.  Worldviews fostered by the emerging electronic paradigm have much in common with the oral and manuscript cultures in which Scripture texts originated. The nature, foundations, and consequences of this shift are documented in detail, to support the thesis that participatory performance of Scripture is a powerfully effective mode of establishing and maintaining Christian community.
