The project combined current research on marriage and family resiliency, theological reflection on the meaning of marriage and the call to ministry, and an experiential learning model. The method of research was pro-active. The researcher is a chaplain who deploys with the troops so what is experienced by the soldiers also affects the researcher. The study results are designed to enhance soldier readiness on a spiritual level.
