The author created a seminar on Orthodox ecclesiology and presented it to nine parish priests who in turn instructed nine different groups of parish council members. Evaluative methods included surveys, field notes, and expert evaluations. Through lecture and discussion, the project examined churches' views of Scripture and, moreover, whether they uphold the Bible as the only source of authority in the Christian life and Church.  Classes clarified understanding and deepened the participants' appreciation of sacred tradition while guiding them in discernment of the Church's call and purpose. The author tested three groups of third and fourth graders, all of whom used the same curriculum.  Two groups were taught in the traditional manner, with lessons outlined in the teacher's manual.  The lessons taught to the third group were supplemented with archaeological artifacts.  A pre- and post-test measured the differences between the groups and the author interviewed the teachers involved with the students.  There was an encouraging difference between the experimental group and the two control groups. The basis is the institutional needs of the air force and the research-identified needs and interests of chaplains.  These needs are correlated with the applicable principles of holistic growth.  The combined implications become the ingredients of the program. The resulting five-year design was evaluated by fifty-eight chaplains.  They concluded the program was effectively responsive to their needs and interests. The purpose of this study is to discover if the curriculum can be effective in the black Baptist church as presently designed. The thesis of this paper is the importance of Christian education in the church, most specifically the black Baptist church.  The method of doing this study is through personal interviews of directors, teachers, pastors and students who are affiliated with the center using the above listed curriculum.
