This study involved the placement process within the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida during the past five years. Thirty parishes were evaluated after placement of clergy to determine the matching process' success.  The result of the examination indicated that the process works when followed carefully and without circumvention. In the wake of a weakening rite of confirmation, it promises a more mature encounter with the essence of baptism. 'Living Into Our Baptism,' developed by Hughes and Westerhoff, is evaluated through participant interviews as an in-depth preparatory process leading to baptismal reaffirmation. Four laypersons and the rector participated in the training and catechesis. This project was given theological and biblical impetus through the study of I Corinthians 12.
