The project in particular examines the CRC's need to fulfill the 'Great Commission'--a study that can be applied to other denominations.  The project describes in detail the theological conflict between recent traditional Reformed missiology and evangelistic necessity.  This conflict provides a breeding ground for complacency and inwardness, and it further retards the mission that the church intends to promote. The intention of this study is to develop the concept of the congregation as an evangelistic community, and to design a model of evangelism that effectively reaches out to the Chinese people of Fresno. The author explores the viability of a theology and strategy of friendship evangelism.  It is a caring way to share our faith. This history tells how a mission became an independent church with the direction and programs altered due to changes in immigration laws, the community, and the society in general. The method of study includes library research, historical material collection, and interviews.
