The project demonstrates the emerging issues of ecumenical debate in Korea through an analysis of the background theological literatures published by local members of the World Council of Churches. Its purpose is to begin a denomination-wide discussion on ecumenism in the KEC through the design and implementation of an educational proposal on the ecumenical movement. This project contributes to the establishment of a firm theological foundation for KEC ecumenical participation. It provides a theological critique of some of the anti-ecumenical arguments among the KEC and Korean churches and analyzes the reasons why the KEC withdrew from the KNCC in 1961. Flory identified with great missionaries; her faith and intelligence, undergirded by enormous energy and drive, created so many ideas and involved so many people she was uncontainable.
